Baska is well known tourist center on the island Krk, and because of its architecture is considered one of the most beautiful town on the coast. The floor of this church in Jurandvor, less than mile north of Baska, is the place where Croatia's Baska Tablet was found in 1851. As with Egypt's Rosetta Stone, it took years to decipher the Glagolitic script that mentions Zvonimir, Croatia's first king.
